Wines of the Month – February 2012

February 2012 Wine Kitz Wines of the MonthOur Californian Piesporter features fresh honeydew cantaloupe and juicy mangos with a slight spicy fruit flavour as peaches and orchard fruit complement herbal accents. Its finish is smooth and soft.

Our Chilean Vieux Chateau du Roi is reminiscent of the Old World with layers of oak, herbs, blackberry and licorice.  It is rich, complex, balanced and rewarding.

Looking for a great pairing for your Piesporter?  Wine Kitz has some great recipes that pair wonderfully with wines created from our kits.  Try Sweet Pea Soup with Seared Scallops – the perfect accompaniment to this soft, fruity white.  Or, to pair with a glass of Vieux Chateau du Roi, try Grilled Duck with Cherry Sauce and Pea Compote.  Just let us know what time to stop by!
