Planning your wedding day?

First of all, congratulations! This is an exciting – and busy – time, so be sure to take time to enjoy the excitement as much as you can.

We know that weddings quickly get expensive, even if you work hard to stay committed to a budget. That’s why we offer a variety of options to help you make wine an affordable option to include in your celebrations – whether for serving at the reception, or as favours to thank your guests for joining you on your special day. You can even customize your wine labels to match your colour scheme or theme (scroll down to see some examples).

How much wine should I plan for at the reception?

A good rule of thumb is about 2-3 glasses (500mL) per guest. Some guests will drink less, some will drink more, and it’s always better to have some more than not enough!

Each kit/batch of wine makes 23 litres (30 x 750mL bottles), which is enough for 46 guests. For large groups, the following are helpful guidelines:

1-45 guests = 1 batch
46- 90 guests = 2 batches
91-135 guests = 3 batches
136-180 guests =4 batches

Please keep in mind that while we can make ready-to-drink wine in as little as 10 days, most of our kits take several weeks to produce, and you should ideally let your wine age for up to a few months before serving. It’s best to start making wine well in advance of your wedding day, whenever possible.

What kind(s) of wine should I serve?

Whether you select red or white wine is your personal preference, but you may want to consider the type of food you will be serving when making your selection. Our staff can help you select the best wines to pair with your menu, and we can also offer suggestions of our most popular varietals so that you can select wines that are sure to please a crowd.

If you have any additional questions or would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to give us a call or to stop in to speak with one of our staff members. We’ll be happy to answer all of your questions, and to help you select the best wines for your special day.
